Brewing Guide
Brewing Guide
Recommended Brew Method: Pour Over (Hario V60 or Chemex) — this method best showcases the blend's delicate florals and nuanced complexity
Grind Size: Medium-Fine
Water Temperature: 198–202°F (92–94°C) — slightly lower temperature preserves the floral aromatics
Coffee-to-Water Ratio: 1:15 (approximately 2 tablespoons per 6 oz of water)
Brew Time: 3–3.5 minutes
Tasting Tip: Brew at a smaller volume (6–8 oz) and allow the cup to cool slightly before tasting — the floral and fruit notes become more pronounced as the temperature drops.
Alternative Brewing Methods:
French Press: Use a coarser grind, 200°F water, and a 1:12 ratio. Steep for 4 minutes, then press gently. This method brings out the blend's body and sweetness, though some delicate aromatics may be softened.
AeroPress: Medium grind, 200°F water, 1:16 ratio, 2-minute steep. Produces a clean, bright cup that highlights the blend's complexity with less sediment than French press.
Moka Pot: Fine grind, 195°F water, fill the filter basket level with grounds. Creates a concentrated, rich brew ideal for espresso-style enjoyment or milk-based drinks.
Espresso: Use a fine grind and pull a 25–30 second shot at 9 bars pressure. The blend's sweetness and body shine through, making it excellent for cappuccinos or macchiatos.
Pairing Suggestions: Best enjoyed on its own to fully appreciate its complexity. If pairing, choose light accompaniments such as white chocolate, fresh stone fruit, or a mild honey cake.
Storage: Store in an airtight container away from heat, light, and moisture. For optimal freshness, consume within 2–3 weeks of roast date. Freezer storage is recommended for extended preservation.
Origin & Region
Origin & Region
Ethiopia, Mexico, Brazil
This blend sources from Ethiopian smallholder farms in Guji's high-altitude growing areas where traditional intercropping methods are practiced, Mexican cooperatives in Chiapas emphasizing environmental stewardship, and Brazilian estates in Cerrado with their systematic cultivation approaches. These three origins represent diverse farming traditions from established coffee-producing regions
Altitude & Processing
Altitude & Processing
900-2,100 MASL (meters above sea level)
This light roast blend combines naturally processed Ethiopian beans (1,850-2,100m) for juicy fruit characteristics, Mexican beans (1,300-1,750m) washed for clean structure and balance, and Brazilian beans (900-1,400m) using pulped natural processing for body and sweetness. The varied processing methods preserve the delicate origin characteristics while creating a complex, layered cup with exceptional brightness and nuanced flavors.
